Hi folks due to low water conditions and risk to fish welfare the Senior Competition to be held on the Enler River on Sunday 19th May has been postponed until further notice. Sorry for the late notice.

As the nights are getting longer Michael is keen to start the evening work parties again. He plans to hold the first one on Wednesday 15th May, meeting at 7.00pm in the car park at Comber Leisure Centre. Just bring along waders and gloves if you have them. The club holds a number of pairs of chest waders in different sizes. Contact Michael if you need a pair to wear on the night. Your attendance and participation would be appreciated. Due to the closure of Islandderry Fishery the Stephen Harris Memorial Shield will be fished for at Woodford Fishery, 12c Woodburn Road, Carrickfergus on 23rd September.

Hi folks, for those of you who follow the club on the club web site, Twitter and Facebook you may have noted that there was a report of a pollution incident / fish kill on Saturday past at the lower end of the river. It was reported to the NIEA pollution Hotline. They carried out a full inspection of the river on Sunday morning as the incident was reported late on Saturday night and it was getting dark. There has been a change of venue for the IAC Trophy. Due to Woodford being double booked we are now holding the competition at Movilla Fishery on sunday 16th October

When is the river going to get a break? How many times do the culprits get away with this? With all the new hopes of it returning to a wild fishery it gets hit again, I hope they get the guilty person and nail him to the nearest tree.

Was out this morn with my son. He caught 4 brown trout and it was his first time fly fishing ����

Once again the river is in fine form, with lots of fish of varying sizes being caught. Please remember, barbless hooks must be used.
