Pollution incidents

When is the river going to get a break?  How many times do the culprits get away with this?  With all the new hopes of it returning to a wild fishery it gets hit again, I hope they get the guilty person and nail him to the nearest tree.

River is staying consistent, with plenty of fish being caught. Dry fly fishing is starting to come into play with the milder temperature.

Once again the river is in fine form, with lots of fish of varying sizes being caught. Please remember, barbless hooks must be used.

River conditions are once again excellent with plenty of hard-fighting brown and sea trout being caught. Also good quantities of juvenile fish too.

A dry and bright day, with a very cool breeze. Water is a little high and has a bit of colour, but it's pushing through and fining down nicely.

New Season Begins (or doesn't)

Well the new season started March 1. But unfortunately due to the terrible weather and high coloured water (also a spot of drainage digging), fishing has remained a non-starter. Hopefully the weather will pick up soon so we can all get out and wet a line. Keep checking in for updates. Tight lines!

Have a Merry, Happy Christmas and a Peaceful, Healthy and Prosperous New Year.

The End of Another Season

Well, that's it folks. Another season comes to a close. Was it a good one for you? Please remember to submit your catch returns so the Club can get an idea as to the health of the river. Also, if any member has caught a decent sized sea trout, and you have a picture of it, why not enter the annual competition for the Club's magnificent Biggest Sea Trout trophy. Tight lines!
