IAC IS A CATCH & RELEASE FISHERY - ALL FISH MUST BE RETURNED UNHARMED!

Firstly, a bit of advice...

Inler Angling Club has available day tickets for the visiting angler (see below for costs and where to buy). Anglers must be in possession of a valid Day Ticket and a DAERA Game Licence before commencement of fishing. Various game licences can be purchased online from here
Checks are carried out by our bailiffs on a regular basis

How much does it cost?

Day tickets cost £5.00 for an adult, and £2.50 for a junior.

Where can I get my Day Ticket?

Day tickets can be purchased from the Riverview Garage, 2 Killinchy Road, just outside of town, heading towards Killyleagh and Downpatrick (A22) BT23 5SW
Also available from AM Angling, The Mall, 13 Frances Street, Newtownards BT23 7DW
2 Killinchy Rd, Comber

What are the restrictions?

ALL FISH MUST BE RETURNED ALIVE AS THIS A WILD TROUT FISHERY

Upstream from Munn's Bridge (Newtownards Road, next to the First & Last pub) fly fishing is the only permitted form of fishing. Downstream from Munn's Bridge, fly, worm & spinning are all permitted.

THE USE OF MAGGOTS IS STRICTLY PROHIBITED!

  • All fish must be returned to the water unharmed using wet hands
  • No bait digging or fire lighting is permitted along river banks
  • No angler may fish with more than one rod & line at a time

Before fishing you must de-barb your hook. When unhooking a fish use a 'fish safe' net, forceps or a release tool. Try to keep the fish in the water and handle with wet hands at all times, minimal contact should ensure their survival.

All anglers should be aware some stretches are fringed by public footpaths. Please be vigilant when casting.

Take all litter and unwanted tackle home with you and dispose of it in a responsible manner.

Failure to adhere to club day ticket rules or behaving in an unsportsmanlike manner will result in you being asked to leave our fishery.

Poachers will be prosecuted!

What else?

Other than completing your catch return here, that's it. Nothing left but for you to enjoy our river and TIGHT LINES TO ALL!
